Two U.S. soldiers were killed in the Baghdad area when roadside bombs struck their Humvees on Saturday in separate attacks, the military said.
Sgt. Andres J. Contreras, 23, of Huntington Park, Calif., died on July 15 of injuries sustained when his HMMWV encountered an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq during combat operations. Contreras was assigned to the 519th Military Police Battalion, 1st Combat Support Brigade, Fort Polk, La.

Petty Officer 1st Class Jerry A. Tharp, 44, of Muscatine, Iowa, died July 12 as a result of enemy action when his dismounted patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device while operating in the Al Anbar province of Iraq. Clark was assigned to the 40th Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, Baumholder, Germany.
Sgt. Bryan C. Luckey, 25, of Tampa, Fla., died on June 29, in Mosul, Iraq, when he was shot by enemy forces while on mounted patrol. Luckey was assigned to the 562nd Engineer Company, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Spc. Kyle R. Miller, 19, of Willmar, Minn., died on June 29 in Mosul, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy. Miller was assigned to the Army National Guard's Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery Regiment, New Ulm, Minn.
Sgt. James P. Muldoon, 23, of Bells, Texas, died on June 29 in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained earlier that day in Baquba, Iraq. Muldoon was shot while manning a control point during combat operations. Three more U-S troops have died in Iraq. The military says a U-S Marine and a soldier were killed in separate attacks today west and south of Baghdad. Another soldier was killed in fighting the day before in Anbar province, an insurgent hotbed that stretches from near Baghdad to the Iraqi border with Syria and Jordan.
Cpl. Jason W. Morrow, 27, of Riverside, Calif., died June 27 from wounds received while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq, on June 26. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Sgt. 1st Class Terry O.P. Wallace, 33, of Winnsboro, La., died on June 27, of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations in Taji, Iraq. Wallace was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

The Department of Defense announced today the identity of a Marine and a sailor supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, who have been listed as Duty Status - Whereabouts Unknown (DUSTWUN) after the seven-ton truck in which they wereriding rolled over in a flash flood near Al Asad, Iraq on April 2. The incident was not a result of enemy action.
Lance Cpl. Eric A. Palmisano, 27, of Florence, Wis., died April 2, after the truck he was riding in rolled over in a flash flood near Al Asad, Iraq. The incident also resulted in the death of six other Marines and a Navy petty officer. Palmisano was listed as Duty Status - Whereabouts Unknown until his body was recovered April 11. Sgt. Radhames Camilomatos, 24, of Carolina, Puerto Rico, died in Taji, Iraq, on Jan. 7, from non-combat related injuries. Camilomatos was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
The Department of Defense announced today the death of eightsoldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died near TalAfar, Iraq, on Jan. 7, when their UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed.

1st Lt. Jaime L. Campbell, 25, of Ephrata, Wash. Campbell was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 207th Aviation Regiment, Anchorage, Alaska.

Cann was killed in action Jan. 5 by a suicide bomb attack on an Iraqi police recruitment center in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to Security Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).
Gettings and McCurdy died Jan. 5 from wounds received as a resultof enemy small-arms fire while conducting combat operations against enemyforces in Fallujah, Iraq.
